ABOUT ME
Hello, My name is Adrianna Luz Garza. I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Tx. Before my freshman year in High School, I moved down to So TX. where I finished HS and continued my education at the University of Texas Pan American. It is there that I received my Bachelors degree in All Level Education with a minor in English.
I married my soul mate, Jorge Garza Jr., in June 2006 and we had are blessing Jorge Rosendo Garza in 2008. We are very close to our faith and while our son was growing up, we knew in our hearts that Catholic Schools was exactly where we wanted our son to grow in faith as well as expand his education.
My husband moved to Springfield, MO in November 2015 because of a job promotion with T-Mobile. During the time we were apart, he sought out the Catholic Schools Districts to see where we would want our son to attend. Immaculate Conception was top of our list. My son and I moved up here at the end of his school year to allow him to finish in South Texas. We arrived in Springfield in July 2016. We had no family here so we relied on our faith and prayed that I would find a job close to my son's school where I could be available for him.
In the beginning of his 2016-2017 school year at Immaculate Conception, I decided to try substituting. One, because I wanted to be available to my son, and another because I loved teaching. During the school year, I began substituting in various grades in the school and I loved each and every class. I truly admired and enjoyed working with each of the teachers here at Immaculate Conception. They were always friendly and helpful, especially to someone brand new to the area. When the opportunity to apply for a permanent teaching job here became available, I jumped at the chance to apply. Then, just like that, God answered our prayers and I am now the Technology Teacher for Kinder-8th grade.
My first years teaching here at Immaculate Conception were a true blessing. I've had an amazing time teaching IC and I love all my students and learning with them has been fun. I can wait for this school year to begin. It will be a fun year.
